Since 1981, Bengal Curry House has been serving delicious Bengali cuisine in Brisbane. As a family business, we offer a warm and clean atmosphere where you can enjoy the flavors of India. We use only the best ingredients, including market-fresh herbs and high-quality spices. All our curries are cooked in fresh vegetable oil.

Our Story

Bengal Curry House first opened in Woolloongabba in 1981 and moved to the Wynnum foreshore in 1999. Owners Ruhul and Vanessa Amen have consistently served delicious Indian cuisine with a true family spirit. Their son, Sharif, is now the head chef, and their daughter, Mareena, leads the front-of-house staff.

Our Food

With 28 years of experience, we respect traditional methods and flavors. All our recipes are created in our kitchen, with sauces and spice blends prepared in-house. Your meal is prepared to your liking using chicken breast fillet, quality red meats, tiger prawns, or fresh vegetables. We do not use artificial flavoring, MSG, meat tenderizers, or wheat flour in our curries.
